Shandong Chenyang is one of the earliest enterprises in China to produce pre baked anodes, and is a core enterprise in the carbon material industry of 19 key industrial chains in Jining City. The company was founded in 1987, covering an area of over 800 acres, with total assets of 4.3 billion yuan and more than 1200 employees. We have two major industrial parks and six wholly-owned subsidiaries under our jurisdiction. Our main business is low consumption pre baked anodes for aluminum electrolysis, coal tar fine chemicals, and new carbon materials. It is one of the three key coal chemical industry bases in Shandong Province, and the Mount Taishan scholar led talent research and development test base.
Shandong Chenyang is a company that formulates national and international standards for pre baked anodes, with a current production capacity of 500000 tons of pre baked anodes. The industry's first low consumption pre baked anode product can be used in electrolytic cells for 1-2 days more than ordinary pre baked anodes. Producing one ton of aluminum can directly reduce carbon consumption costs by 135-192 yuan, reduce the number of anode replacements in electrolytic cells, and lower the heat loss of electrode exchange. The product is highly favored by domestic and foreign customers. Exported to more than 10 countries including the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Norway, etc., with an average annual export volume of nearly 200000 tons.
The coal tar fine chemical industry started in 2004, with a current production capacity of 500000 tons, ranking among the top in the industry nationwide. Using coal tar as raw material, more than 10 product chains are extended downstream. It is one of the coal tar deep processing enterprises in Shandong Province with a wide variety of products, high technical level, long product chain, and great development potential.
Asphalt based carbon materials and coal based new materials are a new business sector formed by the deep extension of coal tar fine chemical industry to the high-end of the industrial chain. They are widely used in national defense, military and high-end civilian fields, and occupy a leading position in the domestic coal based carbon materials field. The current production capacity of high-purity impregnated asphalt is 50000 tons per year, which is a specialized asphalt product for ultra-high power graphite electrodes and nuclear graphite impregnation. The quinoline insoluble content is much lower than that of competitors, and it has an irreplaceable advantage in the impregnation field of high-end products. The production capacity of high softening point spun asphalt is 10000 tons per year, and the products cover more than 10 varieties with softening points of 150-300 degrees, filling the gap in the domestic market and replacing imported products from Germany and Japan. Asphalt based carbon fiber and fiber felt have a production capacity of 100 tons per year, and their overall performance is basically equivalent to petroleum based products (PAN based). They have excellent properties such as high strength, high heat resistance, and low density, and have become substitute products for high-end high-temperature industries.
The company has established six provincial-level or above research and development platforms, including a nationally recognized enterprise technology center, a Shandong academician workstation, and a Shandong manufacturing innovation center, as well as two CNAS certified laboratories (a nationally recognized carbon research institute and a nationally recognized coal chemical research and development center). It has established long-term "industry university research" cooperation relationships with Dalian University of Technology, Hunan University, and Wuhan University of Science and Technology to jointly tackle important research topics and develop high-tech products that meet market demand. In recent years, we have completed more than 20 projects for the development of new products, technologies, and processes, undertaken 5 major science and technology projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, and won 1 second prize for science and technology in China's non-ferrous metal industry, 1 third prize for provincial scientific and technological progress, and 2 first prizes for municipal scientific and technological progress. The company has participated in the drafting and revision of 51 national and industry standards, obtained 102 national authorized patents, including 21 authorized invention patents, and developed new products and technologies that have reached the advanced level in China and partially filled the domestic gap. We have the ability to independently design, construct, and build a 200000 ton pre baked anode production line. Through continuous renovation and upgrading, we accelerate digital transformation to ensure that our process technology and product quality remain at the forefront of the industry.
